Restoration Roundup — Monday, November 2, 2026

The Restoration Roundup is Restoration Intel’s daily sweep of what the industry actually said in the last 24 hours — across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Threads, the trade press, and the restoration podcasts. Only substantive items run: product news, data, named opinions, hires and moves, event announcements. No engagement bait, no filler — and on quiet days, we say so instead of padding.

A one-item Monday: a multi-territory Rainbow Restoration franchisee names three area presidents across its Southeast and Virginia markets. One item made the cut.

Southeastern Restoration names three area presidents

R&R Magazine reported Monday that Southeastern Restoration Inc. has appointed three area presidents, effective Oct. 2: Daniel Smoke for the Greenville market, Aaron Fischer for the Richmond, Staunton, and Charlottesville markets in Virginia, and Jeremy Ousley for the Columbia, Charleston, and Hilton Head markets. Southeastern is a portfolio company of Azalea Capital and a multi-territory franchisee of Rainbow Restoration, a Neighborly company. CEO Reed Mattingly said the three have each demonstrated strong leadership and a deep commitment to the organization, and board chairman Marshall Cole framed the appointments as a reflection of the leadership depth inside it.

Why it matters: A multi-territory franchisee adding an area-president layer is a span-of-control move — growth markets get a named leader between the home office and the local shop. Operators in the Neighborly/Rainbow system, and anyone competing in those Southeast and Virginia markets, now know who holds the regional pen.

Quiet on the wires

Checked and quiet in the last 24 hours: Encircle, Kahi, Albiware and Alex Duta, BELFOR, ATI Restoration, Paul Davis, ARC Facilities, Floodlight Group, the Restoration Industry Association, and the IICRC posted nothing substantive. PuroClean and SERVPRO ran heavy local franchise volume — seasonal ads, job photos, and service promos — with no corporate news in it. C&R Magazine’s newest post remains Thursday’s Compliance Blind Spot episode, which ran in Friday’s edition, and R&R’s only other recent items predate the window. No podcast on the watchlist released a new episode in the window: R&R Ask the Expert, Restoration Today, Phil & Michelle’s Happy Hour, Restoration Rundown, and Albi After Hours all stand at their last episodes, and The DYOJO published nothing with a verifiable date. The RIA’s one in-range post was its October new-members welcome graphic, posted before this window opened. The Threads sweep returned artifact and auto restoration only, the Facebook newsfeed pass was personal only, and the LinkedIn sweep returned company-page shells and older posts with no verifiable in-window news. The Roundup prints what ran.

The Roundup sweeps a standing watchlist of restoration companies, voices, trade press, and podcasts. The full source list, the bench of candidates, and every past edition live on the Restoration Roundup home page. Should be on this list? The watchlist grows from what the industry itself amplifies — if a voice is missing, tell us.

Tip the desk

This week’s ask: A question for next month’s chairs. The desk interviews Craig Powers (IICRC), Jeff Moore, and Justin Woodard (RIA) on a recurring chair. What should we ask them on the record?

The Roundup runs on what the industry says in public. Tips run on what operators are seeing before it posts. The best tips run in the next edition under From the field, credited exactly how the sender chooses: name, company, or anonymous. Nothing runs without the sender’s chosen credit, and a photo only runs if it is the sender’s to share.

How to send one: join the email edition below and reply to any Roundup email with your tip. A WhatsApp tip line is coming to this page when the desk’s dedicated business number opens — until then, email replies are the desk’s front door.
